Firehaus welcomes Merry Scott-Jones as Partner and celebrates six years of growth.
We’re marking our sixth anniversary with a significant milestone: the appointment of Merry Scott-Jones as Partner. This underscores our commitment to deepening our strategic capabilities to support ambitious leadership teams, and adds London to our Bristol base.
Merry brings a wealth of experience as a strategist and organisational psychologist, complemented by her creativity. Her career spans leading roles in central government and the private sector, where she has successfully guided departments and blue-chip global brands through strategic transformations. Merry is currently completing her PhD in Organisational Psychology, winning the Indigogold Work Psychology Innovation Award along the way. Her expertise in communications, strategy, client management, and talent development has already proven invaluable in recent collaborations on university brand transformation projects.
"I'm delighted to join Firehaus in their mission to ignite brands that foster internal cohesion and external recognition.
Our shared belief is that too often, leadership teams see brand solely as a communications asset rather than one that is born of and informs organisational strategy. A well-articulated brand serves as a transformative and unifying force, aligning internal teams and resonating with external audiences.
By embedding brand strategy into the core of organisational decision-making, leaders can foster cohesion, create powerful organisational stories, and differentiate their institutions in competitive landscapes." Merry Scott-Jones
"The addition of Merry to our team has expanded our strategic credentials and added great depth and breadth to our brand behaviour work," said Nick Barthram, Strategy Partner at Firehaus. "She is already supporting executive teams in translating brand into meaningful structural as well as communication change."
The consultancy is proud to announce new clients and projects with the University of Bristol, Loughborough University, Buckinghamshire New University, the People-Led Net Zero research centre, and EPP Global, the sports consultancy operating at the intersection of recruitment and organisational design.
Sarah Platt, Firehaus Commercial Partner, said, “It’s been great to see how our relationship with many clients has developed over successive projects. It evidences a level of trust that leadership teams need from their partners – that trusted advisor role that is born from shared knowledge and experience”.
"We have negotiated many hurdles over the past six years, the pandemic being a major one," reflects Ian Bates, Creative Partner at Firehaus. "But we're proud of the impact we have made working with senior teams who are themselves delivering real-world impact. There are many highlights, but looking back, the global repositioning of Loughborough Business School, cycling brand Vittoria – along with benchmark-busting campaigns – and our work with UN Women stand out to date. But there’s much more to come!"
As Firehaus enters its seventh year, we remain dedicated to partnering with ambitious leaders in complex markets and organisations, helping them harness the power of brand to unite teams, create cohesive narratives, and achieve lasting impact.
