Research translation and Academic YouTubers with Dan Pearson

SYNOPSIS

I’m delighted to be joined by Dan Pearson, Director at DKP Studio, a boutique creative agency based in Brisbane, working with clients across education and research.

Our discussion uses live YouTube examples of how academic researchers can use more creatively interesting formats to engage non-academic audiences.

This is incredibly important for several reasons, not least to build personal and institutional reputation, as well as maximising the impact of some of the important subjects being unpacked by researchers around the globe. These channels often have more Subscribers and Views than the parent universities. Interesting eh?

Dan is super-passionate about this subject area and in a world looking for answers (and largely not hearing them) we share an urgency in solving these communication challenges.
